As part of our work to build a new global economy, we are creating an opportunity for women to succeed. Digital Marketing is building a platform that empowers women and gives them the tools to achieve their dreams.
I am often asked how digital marketing is helping women’s empowerment. Self-promotion isn’t the only thing that counts, but it is a large part. Not just from a marketing perspective but also from a social justice one.
Nowadays, we are working hard on expanding our own spaces and spaces for women everywhere. We need to continue this momentum — and we cannot become complacent about it — because women are still underrepresented in tech. And even if we progress on this front, there is still plenty of work left to do.
We are not talking about equality here; We are talking about having your own space — whether it’s a dedicated desk or an office with a breakout room or a private conference room – so that you don’t feel like you’re just another cog in the machine or another number on your spreadsheet.
You need to be able to create your own space so that you feel like you have some control over your life and make sure your career doesn’t become one big boot camp for someone else’s kids (or husband).
There are two reasons why people don’t seem interested in this topic:
People think it is too tricky (we know it is)
People don’t know how to approach this topic (we know-how).
Both of these points are valid, but if they are valuable propositions, they merit further discussion.
People can’t be bothered with the technical part of it (it is hard enough without having to figure out how things work!). There has been so much attention paid over the last decade to improving women’s representation as programmers, designers, engineers and developers that I suspect most people who could care less about these topics have either not heard of them or will automatically reject them out of hand if asked. But if they care about these topics, they might find them too difficult to understand.
For many years, digital marketing has been used to promote products and services aimed at women. The use of digital marketing to promote products and services aimed at women is still relatively new. However, recent research suggests that digital marketing has the potential to change the lives of women around the world.
Our current findings from a study on gender-based online gender segregation in the UK found that women spend over 22% more time online than men.
The research provides an innovative perspective on our current understanding of gender segregation and its relationship with digital media use. It also considers how digital media use might be changing in the future, particularly as women become increasingly influential within society.
There are many ways to help women’s empowerment, but digital marketing is one of the most effective tools. It’s not surprising that women are more likely to be individuals who engage in social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter) and use mobile devices (phone and computer). Women also tend to be more engaged in social media than men, so digital marketing can tremendously affect how they see themselves and their potential.
I recently came across your blog post and must say that you’ve offered some excellent and informative stuff. Keep posting ahead
