Clementine’s journey took her from the elegance of Paris to the energy of New York. Along the way, she faced health challenges and career uncertainties, which shaped how she views style and wellness.
As the founder of Elevated by Clementine, she combines personal styling with Ikigai coaching to help women feel confident, radiant, and true to themselves. Her story is about resilience, purpose, and the courage to put yourself first.
Could you share a little about yourself and the vision behind Elevated by Clementine?
Of course! I’m Clementine, French-born, London-based for the past eight years, and passionate about fashion, helping others, and living a healthy, happy life. I’m naturally creative, always full of ideas, and I love taking on projects that challenge me.
I studied Fashion Design in Paris, completed my Master’s degree in New York, and moved to London after my Luxury Marketing MBA. For a long time, I imagined creating my own fashion brand. But like many, I found myself moving from job to job without stopping to ask, “Is this truly right for me?”
Arriving in the UK brought both challenges and turning points including difficult health issues that ultimately transformed my approach to wellbeing. That journey led me to my true purpose: helping women feel beautiful, confident, and empowered, both inside and out. And that’s the heart of Elevated by Clementine.
How did living in Paris and spending a year in New York shape your approach to style and luxury?
Living in both Paris and New York has deeply shaped my vision of style and luxury. In Paris, I absorbed a timeless, understated elegance the belief that “less is more” while in New York, I embraced a bolder, more eclectic energy.
Studying, observing, and working with fashion brands, style icons, and street fashion in both cities gave me endless inspiration and sharpened my eye for detail.
My approach today is about building your personal style around a few hero pieces, staying aware of trends without being ruled by them, and always dressing in a way that reflects who you truly are. That, to me, is the essence of style.
After working in London’s luxury marketing world, what prompted you to start your own brand?
I’d been feeling unfulfilled for a while, moving from one marketing role to another without that deeper sense of purpose. On the side, I began exploring writing, teaching, and coaching, wondering, “Could I really make a life doing what I love?” That led me to complete an Ikigai Coaching course, where I fell in love with helping people become the best version of themselves.
During my diploma, I realised I had found my true Ikigai my purpose and I became serious about building my own business.
When I was made redundant from my marketing role, I chose to see it as a sign to invest in myself and be brave enough to start Elevated by Clementine. Best decision I’ve ever made… alongside marrying my husband, of course!
What happened during your St Albans reset that made health and holistic wellness central to your work?
I reached a point where years of unaligned life choices and illness had left me with both physical and mental health challenges. I knew I needed a complete reset from nutrition to mindfulness to movement.
At first, it felt daunting and even unfair, but once I committed to my own health and wellness journey, everything changed.
Eating well, sleeping better, moving daily, and prioritising my mental wellbeing transformed my health, mindset, and outlook on life. Along the way, I developed a true passion for learning, living, and sharing healthier lifestyle habits.
That’s what inspired me to write my book, My Little Healthy Guide, and weave wellness into the very heart of my business creating a holistic concept that helps women feel their best, inside and out.
How do you blend Ikigai coaching with personal styling? What does a typical client journey look like?
For me, outer transformation and inner transformation go hand in hand you can’t have one without the other. True confidence comes from the combination of looking good, feeling good, and living in alignment with your purpose.
Ikigai coaching and personal styling complement each other beautifully. Styling helps you express who you are and who you aspire to be; Ikigai coaching helps you uncover that deeper self, understand what drives you, and live a passionate, meaningful life.
A typical client journey often begins with personal styling for someone who feels a bit lost in her style, I help define her look, understand her body shape and skin tone, and choose the right pieces to reflect her identity.
From there, we move into Ikigai coaching, exploring her passions, skills, and values, and aligning them with what the world needs and what she can be paid for. It’s about creating both a wardrobe and a life that feel authentically hers.
Which three small habits or changes create the biggest confidence shift for the women you coach?
For the women I coach, there are many small changes that make a big impact. Here are three I’ve seen create the biggest confidence shifts both in style and wellbeing:
Style around a hero piece. Choose one item that makes you feel beautiful, empowered, and comfortable, then build the rest of your outfit around it. This makes getting dressed easier, more intentional, and instantly boosts daily confidence.
Practise mindfulness daily. Whether it’s mindful eating, meditation, walking, journaling, or gratitude, mindfulness helps reduce stress, increase positivity, and build resilience. Learning to be present not only makes life more enjoyable but also strengthens self-assurance.
Create space for “flow state” activities. These are moments when you’re fully absorbed in something you love an Ikigai principle. Whether it’s painting, writing, gardening, or moving your body, these activities bring joy, boost radiance, and naturally build confidence.
As a CrossFit athlete, how does strength training influence the way you advise clients about dressing and body confidence?
As the founder of Elevated by Clementine and a CrossFit athlete, training nearly every day and witnessing my own body evolve has taught me valuable lessons about body confidence, proportions, and adaptation things we’re rarely taught in fashion design. Haute couture still has a long way to go in embracing body diversity, but I believe there are beautiful, well-made pieces for everyone.
My role is to help clients uncover their own style and find key pieces that make them feel confident, beautiful, and proud of their bodies regardless of shape, size, or shoulder width. I guide them toward styles that flatter their unique proportions, elongate the silhouette, or draw the eye in a way that enhances their presence.
It’s all about playing with perception and proportion to help them feel radiant and self-assured. Everyone deserves to feel beautiful, know their style, and dress with ease whether they’re outside the gym or building everyday looks effortlessly.
What inspired My Little Healthy Guide, and what one idea from the book do you wish every reader would try?
I wrote My Little Healthy Guide because of my own wellness journey. Over the last 10 years, I completely transformed my lifestyle by researching, learning, experimenting, and consulting with countless healthcare professionals. Along the way, I gathered a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience that I felt compelled to share.
If I could make the process of building healthier habits simpler and less overwhelming for others, I knew it would be something to be proud of.
The book blends both Western and Eastern inspirations practical, proven tools across nutrition, movement, mental health, and community building. These, I believe, are the pillars of a long, vibrant life.
If there’s one idea I wish every reader would try, it’s this: choose one micro-habit that truly feels aligned with your lifestyle. Make it part of your routine until it’s effortless then add another.
If you’re starting from scratch, begin with nutrition: cut out sugar-heavy, ready-made meals and processed foods. Choose whole foods and home-cooked dishes made with fresh ingredients.
This alone can boost energy, sharpen focus, and stabilise mood. From there, you can layer other habits like daily movement, mindfulness, or intentional styling creating a strong, holistic foundation for resilience, confidence, and joy.
What’s your process for understanding a client’s needs and creating a personalised styling or coaching plan for them?
For me, it all begins with an initial discovery call. It’s more than just an introduction, it’s where I create a safe space for my client to share their story, open up about their challenges, and start dreaming about what’s possible.
Together, we uncover their goals both the ones they say out loud and the ones they might not have fully realised yet.
From there, we co-create the path forward, choosing the right package or building a completely bespoke plan that feels exciting, supportive, and achievable.
Every session is crafted with intention, focusing on their unique needs and the changes they want to see.
I see my role as part guide, part cheerleader helping them move from uncertainty to clarity, from self-doubt to confidence. No two journeys are ever the same, but they all share one thing: they’re deeply personal, and they’re designed to help my clients feel truly aligned with who they are.
What is the most common misconception women have about style or wellness, and how do you challenge it in your practice?
One of the biggest misconceptions I hear from women is that self-care is selfish. I challenge this every single day, because I believe the opposite is true. Taking care of ourselves is one of the most powerful and generous things we can do.
It’s like the airline safety reminder: put your own mask on first, then help others. When we are rested, nourished, and confident, we can show up fully for our families, our work, and our passions.
At Elevated, I help women reframe self-care as essential fuel. It’s not indulgence it’s the energy, presence, and joy that powers everything they have to give to the world.
What was the biggest risk you took building Elevated, and what lesson came from it?
The biggest risk I took was going all-in on Elevated after being made redundant. At first, I automatically started searching for another job it felt safe, familiar. But deep down, I knew no job would ever give me the happiness and fulfillment I was craving.
So, I stopped looking. I made the decision to put all my energy into launching Elevated. It was terrifying… but it was also liberating. That leap taught me that you can’t build something extraordinary if you’re trying to keep one foot somewhere else.
It taught me to prioritise my own dream, to let go of fear and doubt, and to fully believe in myself. And now, through my work, I encourage other women to do the same, trusting themselves enough to choose the life they truly want.
What are your top priorities for Elevated by Clementine over the next two years?
Over the next two years, my top priority is to grow Elevated into a vibrant community where women can evolve, learn, and connect. Starting this September, we’ll be hosting events and workshops designed to inspire, educate, and bring women together in meaningful ways.
I also want to expand our reach welcoming more women into the Elevated family so we can support, empower, and celebrate them on their journey.
Long-term, my dream is to open our own Elevated Wellness Centre a safe, beautiful space where women can exercise, recover, learn, and simply enjoy each other’s company. It’s about creating a home for transformation, inside and out. And this is only the beginning.
