Historic on the outside, beautifully modern within.
Bull Burford blends rich heritage, thoughtful hospitality and memorable dining in the heart of the Cotswolds.

Bull Burford is a boutique hotel in one of the Cotswolds’ most beautiful market towns. With more than 500 years of history, it offers a stay that celebrates the past while providing the comfort and style today’s travellers look for.
Originally built in 1475 as a hospice for the Warwickshire Priory, the Grade II listed building later became one of England’s most important coaching inns. Travellers passing between London and Gloucester would stop here, and over the years it welcomed well-known guests including Lord Nelson, Lady Emma Hamilton, King Charles II and William Morris.
Relaunched in 2023, Bull Burford has been carefully restored while keeping many of its original features. Oak beams, stone walls, inglenook fireplaces and the historic coach entrance have all been preserved, giving the boutique hotel plenty of character while adding elegant interiors and modern comforts.

Dining
Food is an important part of the experience at Bull Burford, with three different dining options to enjoy.
Horn is the boutique hotel’s signature restaurant, where Chef Oliver Durnford serves a modern Italian menu made with seasonal British produce and ingredients from the Cotswolds.
For something more relaxed, Sl’ice offers wood-fired pizzas, artisan gelato and alfresco dining. The concept is led by Michele Pascarella, founder of the award-winning Napoli on the Road, alongside former Connaught Executive Chef Anshu Anghotra. In 2026, Napoli on the Road was recognised as the Best Pizzeria in Europe.

For guests looking for a unique dining experience, Wild offers an intimate 11-course tasting menu in Bull Burford’s sunken courtyard. Created by Chef Ben Chamberlain, the fire-led menu changes with the seasons and uses ingredients from local gardens and the surrounding countryside.
Wellness
Hidden within the hotel, ZEN is a peaceful space designed for relaxation. The spa offers more than 20 carefully selected treatments using products sourced from local producers, making it an ideal place to switch off and unwind.
The Coach House
Just a short walk from the main hotel, the Coach House is a private space for meetings, creative sessions and small events. With its own kitchen, relaxed breakout areas and a stylish loft with a 12-seat boardroom table, it is well suited for corporate retreats, strategy meetings and private gatherings.

Award-Winning Stay
Since reopening in 2023, Bull Burford has received several notable recognitions. In 2025, it was awarded a Michelin Key for its hospitality, design and dining experience. It has also been named in The Telegraph’s 250 Best Hotels in the UK.
With rooms from £270 per night and all three restaurants available for private hire, Bull Burford offers a memorable stay where history, great food and modern comfort come together in the heart of the Cotswolds.
